MEDICAL INSURANCE FOR TRIPS TAKEN ABROAD

Expenses regarding postponing or cancelling the trip

You shall receive compensations if during the trip you shall be compelled to postpone part of the planned trip or the entire trip, in case of:

1. death, accident or serious illness during the your insured time period, your travel partner’s, one of your relative’s (the accident or the illness should be certified by medical expertise or on the grounds of medical reports).
2. Birth if it takes place 3 months before the registered departure or the return.
3. Serious damages caused by fire, storm, and floods, at home or at your office.
4. Urgent or inevitable claims issued by the military service, police, fire-fighters or the medical practice; the certification must be made by a representative of the respective organization.

Your medical insurance does not cover medical expenses for diseases that the traveller suffers at the moment or 6 months before the trip’s registration or for any other trip taken against the medical advice of a medical doctor or in case of any trips taken for medical purposes.

Medical expenses and other repatriation expenses

You shall receive compensation for body accidents’ or illness during the trip under the following circumstances:

1. necessary reasonable costs, provoked by the urgent medical situation, hospitalization, medical doctor’s payments.
2. Necessary reasonable costs for such treatments that cannot be obtained in the place where the insured lies, according to the Medical Insurance Company.
3. Reasonable costs regarding transportation and accommodation for any person that the medical doctor recommends for accompanying the insured person in case of hospitalization.
4. Reasonable additional accommodation expenses that prevent the return for medical purposes, according to the medical doctor’s advice.
5. Necessary repatriation costs, for medical purposes and certified by the Medical Insurance Company.
6. Costs for the corps transportation back home or of the ashes resulted from its cremation in the country where the decease took place; burial or incineration costs in the country where the decease took place; no more than the insured amounts.

In case of any repatriation, there shall be received no other medical expenses once the insured person has arrived back home. The maximum amount that shall be compensated for repatriation is 25.000 USD.

Your medical insurance does not cover:

1. any medical treatment, hospitalization, surgery or dental expenses that according to the medical doctor can be reasonably postponed until your return in the country.
2. Any expenses that are outcome of birth complications, other than those that appear in the first 6 pregnancy months.
3. Any expenses for trips taken against the medical doctor’s advice.
4. Any trips taken after the insurance time period has expired.
